The Reformer
The main player in the studio. It reforms your body…the 2 beauties in my studio are the real deal and one can soon discern their quality as soon as they start moving. No plastic found here.
The Cadillac
This big fella always gets the attention…and deservedly so! If you can only take one piece of apparatus to a deserted island, this is the one you take. It’s the playground of the pilates studio and will become your firm favourite.
The Electric Chair
Ruined it for you now, as soon as you read or hear the name…this beast has the heaviest springs in the studio. A deep and challenging workout for the lower body, always in beast mode.
The Wunda Chair
This smaller built apparatus is the official Ass-kicker in a pilates studio. An extremely deep and rewarding workout as the chair design keeps one closer to their centre of gravity, with the challenge of stretching deeply away from centre with no spring support, all body weight control. The one packs a mean pilates punch
The Baby/Arm Chair
A gorgeous piece of apparatus designed for an upper body workout. The springs on the Baby Chair are the lightest in the studio, however not to be underestimated, this has the nickname “The Murder Chair” by some of the strong men that work out on it and learn to not judge this chair by its innocent name and unassuming structure.
The Ladder Barrel & Pancho the Pedi-Pole ( featured in background against the wall)
The ladder barrel is an all round bundle of surprises. You can do some glorious stretches to learning handstands. Nothing is left untouched.
And standing nonchalantly in the background is the Pancho the Pedi-Pole, just trying to blend in….there’s a reason why Joe Pilates trained opera singers on this.
Spine Corrector & Small Barrel
I am sure that it looks super different to anything one has seen. But these are the unassuming kids on the block in the studio. These guys put your spine in all kinds of shapes, that you didn’t know your spine loved being in. This apparatus is this teachers favourite apparatus. Get a workout on this guy, you’ll be a convert.
